Let’s Go Caravan & Camping Show

Lets Go Caravan & Camping ShowThe ‘Let’s Go Caravan & Camping’ show is on now in Adelaide and you still have today and over the weekend to attend. It’s on at the Wayville Showgrounds just out of the city and is open from 10am – 5pm every day until Sunday 17th of February. The entry price of $17 for adults seems a bit steep but you will get your money’s worth in not having to traipse all over town to see everything caravan and camping.  What I love about these shows is that you can see everything in one convenient location and do your comparisons when it comes to different makes and models of vans especially.

There are three huge pavilions to wander through as well as other smaller buildings and plazas full to the brim. Outside there are plenty more displays of caravans, camper trailers, tents and all the accessories you can think of. Whether you are thinking of buying a first caravan or upgrading, just starting out camping or looking at what’s new in the way of accessories, there is something for everyone.

Some of the new vans will astound with all mod cons and everything that opens and shuts. Some of the detail these days is as good as anything you have in your home. Trust me when I say they have everything including the kitchen sink, or even better in some cases, the dishwasher.

The variety of vans and camper options these days are numerous. Some that you would have heard of and may be on your wish list and others that you might have just always have wanted to have a sneaky peak inside.

A big part of these shows that I really look forward to is stopping to gather information from the tourism outlets for all of the states, get ideas for future trips and chat to the people who know the different regions best. If you’ve got any questions about a destination you’re interested in, these are the people to ask. They are a wealth of information and there are plenty of brochures, books and pamphlets to take home and study before planning your next trip.

As you wander through the pavilions make sure to stop in at the Stirling Angas Pavilion and say G’day to Gregg and Sue from ‘On The Road magazine’ and let them know how much you love the publication!

Oh and a word of advice, wear comfy shoes, carry some water with you, look for the free trolleys that are around to help carry all your brochures and purchases, or hire a locker for $2 to store goodies while you wander around and look at all the displays then pick up your stash when you’re ready to leave.

Happy Camping and Caravanning.

    1. I think you’re right, Harry and I went on a less busy week day and it was very good. Caught up with Gregg and Sue from On the Road and was really good to touch base with them in person again! Gregg gave me some advice on what they are looking for more of too.
