Christmas Wishes 2019

A very Merry Christmas to anyone reading this and thank you if you’ve been following my blog this year or supported any of the magazines that I have been fortunate enough to have had stories published in. On The Road magazine has continued to feature some of my stories and I’m grateful to the Editor / Publisher Gregg Haythorpe and Deputy Editor Sue Wyeth for supporting Aussie writers.

I’ve also enjoyed more catch ups this year with fellow writer and blogger, Miriam Blaker and her husband Doug. Miriam also writes stories on destinations to visit in Australia and her stories, blog posts and experiences are written in such a way that you feel that you are there.  You can follow Miriam via her website: http://www.outanabout.com/Soon we and many others will be hitting the road with caravan and campers in tow to make the most of spending time with family and friends during our long hot summer holidays. Daylight saving gives us long days which can be filled with as much energetic or lazy time as you wish, hopefully a good blend of both, and we get to spend true quality time with people that mean the most to us. People that make us laugh, whose lives we are invested in, with all the trials and tribulations.  A time to be grateful for what we have and hopeful for happy and fulfilling times to come.

Nearing the end of the year is a time of fun and reflection, of being thankful for living in a big beautiful peaceful country with an enviable lifestyle which we shouldn’t take for granted. A time to get outdoors and appreciate our clean blue seas, soft white sand, good fishing and colourful sunsets.

Looking back on the year, it’s been a great year of contributing work to various publications including recently providing stories every month to Liquid Life & Leisure magazine, an online magazine that you can subscribe to for free and have delivered to your inbox every month. This boating, caravanning, camping, leisure and outdoor magazine has something for everyone and I thank the Editor, Hayley Taylor, for giving me the opportunity to contribute stories on a regular basis.

Next year there are more trips planned so be sure to keep following my blog, where I’ll let those interested know of new articles published, plus there will be a whole lot more on beautiful destinations to visit in Australia and set up camp for a while.

There are always plenty of stories in the blog that don’t all go to print and lots of details on unmissable places in Australia if you are travelling and what to do when you get there. Don’t forget to use the search function if you are looking for information on a destination in Australia, I just may have been there!

Cheers, Merry Christmas and best wishes to you all,

Glenys

  1. Aww Glenys, I’m sorry I missed this one. Thanks for the lovely mention. Ironic cos I’ve just hit ‘publish’ on my first blog for the year here in SA. Doug and I are really looking forward to catching up with both you and Harry very soon. Hope 2020 is a wonderful year for you both. Cheers and see you soon. 😊
