It’s usually a struggle to think about buying Christmas presents right? Well this year I have a couple of ideas for quality gifts (or something for yourself) that will help out small businesses and be well received by the men, women and children in your lives. There are also some perfect gifts for the caravan traveller with t-shirts being a summer wardrobe staple piece and some gorgeous earrings that don’t take up much space but add a bit of difference to your holiday outfits. The beauty is that these products can be bought online and delivered right to your door too, so there’s no need to visit crowded shops, but make sure to buy early to guarantee delivery in time for Christmas.
These 100% cotton adult unisex t-shirts and hoodies are designed in Australia (by my daughter Emily) and are very soft and comfortable to wear. They come in standard sizes and also in a longer length to suit tall people. On the website you’ll see photos of the range and a measurement guide for these quality garments that come in very Australian, earthy colours of tan, navy, sage and white. They remind me of dirt road travels, deep blue oceans and colours of the Australian bush, while the simple upbeat message of ‘Live A Little’ is a motto and lifestyle we all aspire to.
You can also buy hoodies for the cooler weather and they are available in black or white marle. They have a comfortable kangaroo pocket on the front for keeping hands warm. The range can be bought online and will be a comfortable addition to your summer wardrobe. Especially this year, we all deserve to ‘Live A Little’.
These absolutely gorgeous designs of timber, resin, fabric and clay earrings are handmade in the southern suburbs of Adelaide in South Australia. The Elsie & Me range also includes 100% cotton baby bibs and scrunchies all made by a family friend and all round lovely lady – Kasey. If you are lucky enough to live in SA, you can see the products at some markets and stores in the Fleurieu region, but there is also an etsy shop where you can buy the products online.
The products are excellent value and quality too. Why not buy something a little special for yourself or to give as gifts for Christmas.
Cheers
Glenys
It’s more important than ever this year to buy local. I try to do that when I do the food shopping too.

No imported fruit, veges or seafood in this house, especially when the local stuff is such good quality.

Some great ideas here Glenys and I love the thought of shopping local and supporting the Aussie industry.

This is exactly what I’m planning on doing this year. I’m going to support local businesses and be more thoughtful of where I spend my money. I’ve already found a few fantastic companies that make sustainable clothing and plant a tree for every t-shirt purchased. How amazing is that? Thanks for sharing and have a good day 😀 Aiva
