Summer in SA

Our summer holiday on Yorke Peninsula is setting its usual standard when it comes to the weather. This is one of the reasons why we choose to stay for such a long time in the one place.

The weather can be very fickle with anything from days in the high 30s to cold southerly blustery winds chilling us back into jumpers. This year has been no different.

January can be a bit all over the place when it comes to the weather but we’ve been lucky enough to have had some scorchers around the old 100 degrees mark, that make you really appreciate a beach holiday.

Days like these are perfect for a paddle board or fishing in our small tinny, when the weather is hot and the water calm.

We always know to make the most of these days as change is never far away. One person’s too windy is another’s just perfect though and if conditions don’t suit us, they sure do suit kite boarders who love to use this beach for their fun and sport.

In the time we’re here, we are also bound to cop some wet and wild weather but I can’t complain about that either as those days provide the opportunity for some pretty spectacular photos too.

Nothing beats those out of the blue nights though, when mother nature puts on a spectacular sunset and blows our minds with an ever changing show of colour.

We love the chance to spend time in nature and our big screen views give us something to look forward to every day.

Enjoy the summer while it lasts!
