Enjoy Christmas & the Holidays

Christmas has rolled around quickly again this year and it’s time to unwind, forget the daily routines and indulge in all the good things that this season brings.

Too much food, just enough liquid cheer and time spent catching up with family and friends is how we plan to enjoy Christmas and ring in the New Year, including lazy time at our annual beach holiday on Yorke Peninsula.

I want to say thanks to everyone who has followed my blogs, Facebook page or Instagram this year, it really means a lot to know that I’m not just talking to myself (well not all the time anyway ;)).

I’ve been fortunate to have had quite a few stories in print and online again in 2022, and it’s something I work madly at throughout the year. No matter how many times I get a story accepted, it’s always a thrilling and satisfying moment, and of course it all helps with the diesel money to keep us rolling.

We are excited for the journeys we’ve got planned in 2023 and hopefully more fishing, travel and 4WD stories will come from those trips.

I sincerely hope you have a wonderful, safe and happy Christmas filled with love and laughter and I look forward to catching up with some of you soon to celebrate another year of friendships in person.

Enjoy the warm sunshine, relaxing beach time, successful fishing, interesting books, festive drinks and delicious food! I know I will. I hope everyone enjoys some travel time in 2023, be safe and have fun.

Cheers

  1. Ah, yes – I had to smile at your “warm sunshine, relaxing beach time” when here, on the opposite side of the globe, temps have been in the single digits F. (-15 C), with wind speeds as high as 70 mph (well over 100K!!) although I missed experiencing that. Power was out for most of the day at my sister’s house, returning at midnight. But we have wood stove, and Luci lights, and friends with power for a dinner party, and 4WD, and studded tires… Life is good!

    1. Wow, enjoy! I couldn’t imagine weather that cold. We are in for high 30s to low 40 degree celsius from now through to New Years Eve it seems, so I will enjoy it while it lasts. Possibly in air conditioning when it gets ridiculously hot. πŸ™‚
