Goolwa Cockle Season 2023

It’s time again to grab your cockle net and head down to Goolwa Beach for cockle season. The season opened on the 1st of November and runs through to the 31st of May each year and whether you call them cockles, pipis or even better by the Ngarrindjeri term Kuti, or collect these little molluscs… Read More Goolwa Cockle Season 2023

SA to Cape York Qld & Return – The Stats

Our trip from home on the south coast of South Australia to the northernmost tip of mainland Australia is over, and we had a ball over the 105 days we took to enjoy the journey. We managed to visit every destination we had pinpointed to see along the coast of Queensland, with our main aim… Read More SA to Cape York Qld & Return – The Stats

Driving to the tip of Australia – Part 4 (Loyalty Beach, Seisia and Alau Beach)

Our next stop was Loyalty Beach, another planned stay to make sure that we were here on a Sunday night, their famous fish and chip night! We can choose to set up wherever we like, so we select another beachfront position with just the white beach, turquoise sea and palm trees in front of us.

Driving to the tip of Australia – Part 3 (We Love Punsand Bay)

Way back in our planning for this trip to the northernmost tip of mainland Australia, we made the decision to book a two night stay at Punsand Bay, the closest campground to the tip. Our reason for this was so that we would have a couple of opportunities to visit the tip if weather or… Read More Driving to the tip of Australia – Part 3 (We Love Punsand Bay)
