You may not know that Jamestown in South Australia’s mid north is notable for being the birthplace of a very well-known Australian identity. It’s also a town with an impressive caravan park and it’s only around two and a half hours north of Adelaide.
In a recent newspaper and social media poll, the Point Turton Caravan Park on Yorke Peninsula, was named South Australia’s favourite, for the second year in a row. It’s not hard to see why with location, location, location being the first thing that comes to mind.
Port Lincoln is a destination that surprises on every visit. The local, fresh seafood is sublime as are many of the places you can find to indulge in perfectly prepared dishes featuring it. If you’re looking to show visitors some of the best of South Australia, you’d be hard pressed to beat these suggestions.
Our caravan trip to Queensland late last year, lived up to most of what we were hoping for. Some of the places where we stayed, we found by sheer luck and they became absolute favourites that we can’t wait to revisit one day.
