Our next stop was Loyalty Beach, another planned stay to make sure that we were here on a Sunday night, their famous fish and chip night! We can choose to set up wherever we like, so we select another beachfront position with just the white beach, turquoise sea and palm trees in front of us.
Our drive to the tip continued with a mix of bitumen and dirt roads. We notice how the roadside plants on one side are caked in red dirt as the dust gets blown then settles to one side of the road. Everything is red tinged.
We’ve done our usual crisscross ramble around town to find some street art, this time in Townsville, and as per usual, have found some beauties.
