If like me, you’re thinking about books that will be good to read on summer holiday getaways, then this is one that you might want to consider. I look for books that don’t have subjects that are too heavy or bog you down with details and plots that have you going backwards and forwards and having to concentrate too much. Just give me something easy to read, preferably with a bit of humour and a good page turner.

One of the things we appreciate in Australia is the clean air and rich soil that we have in our own backyards which makes growing fresh produce something we can all generally have a go at. Growing and buying organic food is becoming more and more common place and the popularity of farmers markets, where you can buy straight from the growers and producers are evident, with big crowds drawn to them every weekend around the country.

Great Reads on Holidays

One pastime I absolutely look forward to on holidays is getting stuck into reading. Something so important and yet it feels indulgent.

My holiday reading collection was a very eclectic assortment of books and magazines, mostly birthday and Christmas gifts from family who know me well.
