Kadina Markets

A must do wherever you’re travelling in Australia is to visit country markets on the weekends to buy local, help small communities and get a feel for a town.

Kadina on Yorke Peninsula is no exception and holds a Rotary club market, usually on the last Saturday of each month. The market is held in Victoria Square, a green park in the heart of town which also has a great playground for the kids. The market is on from 830am to 1230pm and has stalls selling fresh produce, baked goods, crafts, clothing and all the usual bric-a-brac stalls you expect for a country market.

As per usual we like to turn up to markets with an empty belly, knowing that there will be something tempting to eat which also acts as a fundraiser for a worthy local cause or club. We weren’t disappointed with a good old bacon and egg sandwich, basic but tasty all the same.

The next market will be held on Saturday 27th of February and further dates can be found on the market’s Facebook page.

cheers

Glenys

  1. I love any sort of market, be it Farmer or otherwise! My FB feed brought up a post and pics with you guys at one of your local markets. A very nice memory! 😊
