There’s a new Getaway Guide I’ve written for the CamperMate website which lets visitors know of the best places to go for active outdoor summer fun on the Fleurieu Peninsula.
At Goolwa you have the beach and river for all types of water sports or you can take a bike and walking track that follows the river. Another option is the Encounter bikeway which goes all the way to Victor Harbor. On the way it passes through Middleton, an extremely popular surf spot with spectacular views to take in along the way.
Next is the town of Port Elliot with the sweeping Horseshoe Bay, overlooked by the caravan park. Follow the Harbourmasters walk around the headland for more eye popping scenery and you’ll end up at Knight’s Beach. Boomer Beach spreads out ahead in the distance and you can see all the way to Victor and The Bluff.

I have been to Victor Harbor and Goolwa many times but never travelled between to the two. Didn’t realise they were as close as they are! Looks like a great piece of coast to explore.
