I think Iโve found the most colourful skate bowl in Australia and you can take a look at it, in the Fleurieu Peninsula town of Goolwa, a little over 80 kilometres from Adelaide. Goolwa is an easy day trip destination and has so much for families to enjoy including this spot to add to your list for those who enjoy skateboarding, scooter or bike activities, and colourful art.
The brilliant murals cover the skate bowl and were created by three street artists who were commissioned by the local council to create the artworks, in a bid to deter unsightly graffiti tagging, and generally make it the bright and welcoming spot for all. The artists who created the colourful works are Care Vaughan, Mike Tye and Hamish McMillan and the designs were chosen in conjunction and consultation with the local community and council.
The street art was completed in early 2018 and apart from the skate bowl, the skate park area has an asphalt pump track, a dirt BMX track, bench seats and a smart solar bench. This table and bench seating area has a solar powered charging station and free Wi-Fi, so devices and phones can be used and charged while your kids are entertaining themselves.
The skate park is at the end of Glendale Grove as you drive into Goolwa, behind what will become the new Goolwa High School.
Cheers

What a cool idea. It looks great and there’s no graffiti so the plan must have worked.

Itโs a great idea and so much better to look at than a usual skatepark.
