My home town of Goolwa is already pretty spoilt for choice when it comes to dining options from main street cafes, two hotels, wharf side, river and beach front venues and now I can confirm there is another must try to add to your list. An authentic Thai restaurant, Thai Days has opened in the main thoroughfare, Cadell Street, and it’s an absolute winner.
They had a few teething problems to start with, renovations of the shop taking longer to complete than first expected and then opening night had to be cancelled due to an equipment malfunction but it is up and running now, and it was worth the wait.
The décor feels warm and welcoming, a mix of timber, brick and industrial elements, open yet cosy with tables and banquette seating as well as freestanding tables and chairs and many nooks and areas to dine in comfort and privacy.
The wine and drinks list is extensive with lots of locally sourced brands and as the food is authentic, fresh and as their slogan says ‘Always Delicious’. Four of us dined in on a Thursday night and that night, along with every day and night since they’ve been opened was at capacity (Covid restrictions noted). All of our entrees and mains were perfect and no request was too hard for our friendly and delightful host, TJ.
It is an extremely popular spot at the moment so some patience may be needed in waiting for service from the young and possibly inexperienced staff, but with the right attitude you will have a great day or night out. They have been doing takeaway as well but this has been such a popular option too, with people breezing in and out to pick up orders that I believe they’ve had to put a hold on it for a while to keep the numbers of people in the restaurant down.

Their current opening hours are Wednesday to Monday (closed Tuesdays) for lunch 11am-3.30pm and dinner from 5-9pm, but keep an eye on their social media for any changes and because of the popularity of this restaurant, you must BOOK if you don’t want to be disappointed.
Enjoy,
Glenys
We can find people to work in restaurants right now. So, some are limiting days of the week they are operating. We are having to show a ton of patience and actually thank them for working!!

We are appreciative for sure and so want to support anyone brave enough to be starting out in this climate.

That’s great. There’s so much negativity about small business at the moment so a good news story is so welcome. I’d love to try their food one day.
