If there’s one holiday destination that deserves the saying; location, location, location, it has to be Tumby Bay on Eyre Peninsula, South Australia.
This is one of my favourite towns in South Australia, and we’ve visited a few times in the last couple of years because it’s that good.
Getting around town is easy with most places in easy walking distance from the caravan park, but if you want the seclusion of off-grid camping, then you’ve got that nearby too. I love its laid back country town feel, the locals are very welcoming, and every year in March the town activities ramp up with the Colour Tumby Festival.
You can read all about it in my latest article in RV Daily magazine here. See what makes this hidden gem such a magnetic destination.
The colour of the water is something else. Given all the things you can do on the peninsula, it looks like an adventure seeker’s paradise.
