Another top spot I’d recommend for a stay when you’re travelling on Eyre Peninsula, is the Wudinna Show grounds. Here you can stay for up to 5 nights unpowered at $10 per night or for $15 per night you can have power and water.

There are around a dozen powered sites and plenty of room for unpowered set ups. A shelter structure has information which shows the layout of the grounds and amenities, and here you’ll also find envelopes for the payment of fees.

There are very clean and well cared for toilet blocks, rubbish bins, and a unisex en suite building which has a shower and toilet inside, with a shower costing $2 for 4 minutes.

There’s also a massive open shed which would be a great spot to get out of any bad weather and use as a communal eating area. Inside are some chairs to use as well as a library of books and magazines to swap. The locals have even listed a few suggestions on things to see and do in the area and what services are in town.

When you stay in Wudinna don’t miss a visit to the Wudinna Hotel which has a spacious bar, friendly service, an eight ball table, a warm wood fire and big screen TVs to watch whatever sport is in season.

The dining room has been recently renovated and the food was excellent with a big range of wines on offer too.
