I think Iโve finally stumbled across a useful 12 volt hair styling product that actually works, so in the interest of ALL the women I know who have wasted money on products that donโt live up to their hype, hereโs what Iโve found.
If, like me, youโve wasted money on 12 volt products like hairdryers that are so bad they are useless, youโd understand the trepidation to try another product that claims to be able to do the job. I think though, that I have finally found one that lives up to expectations.
The brand I bought is Lady Jayne and the product is called, Salon Pro Rechargeable, 2 in 1 hair styler and itโs proving to be the best Iโve tried so far. The product can be charged by USB c cable, which is provided, so it can be used when youโre relying on 12V power.
The initial charge from out of the box says it will take 3 hours, and that was true for me. When the charge light stops flashing the unit is fully charged. You can then select three different heat temperatures, depending on the thickness of your hair.

It claims to give 45 minutes of styling from a single charge and after initially using the product for a short time, I switched it off and left it overnight for around 15 hours before turning it on again, and it had stayed fully charged. Turning it on again, it took less than 10 minutes to heat up again and worked well again for touch ups.
The product can also be plugged into 240 volt via the USB cable and can be used while itโs recharging. It comes in a velvet bag with the USB cable, has a lock function, on/off switch and battery level indicator light.

For people with really curly hair, it may struggle to be effective but it definitely does the job for touch ups. I found the floating ceramic plates, didnโt really glide as smoothly as they say, but if you use a heat protection product first, it will probably glide easier.
Overall the product is one that I am happy with and for around $65 itโs not too hard on the pocket either. Hopefully this helps some of you, in the never ending quest for useful 12 Volt products for women. And remember, Mothers Day is not too far away!
Cheers

I wish I’d read this before I bought myself a hair straightener a few weeks ago. It looks very useful. Which shop did you buy it from? I might get a second to leave in the van.

I bought it online through Chemist Warehouse and I was convinced to give it a try after it received great reviews from different beauty website editors.
It wouldnโt be my first choice for everyday hair straightening but I love it for off grid.

Gosh someone is finally thinking about our 12 volt needs. My only 12v haircare item is the diesel heater. Thankfully Iโve still got my own knees.
