Visit Mildura 2023

The town of Mildura is a little over 4 hours drive from Adelaide and is known for its agriculture, mainly citrus growing, dried fruits and grapes used for wines and as table grapes. The region which spans the border of Victoria and New South Wales on the Murray River, is called the Sunraysia region, a… Read More Visit Mildura 2023

SA to Cape York Qld & Return – The Stats

Our trip from home on the south coast of South Australia to the northernmost tip of mainland Australia is over, and we had a ball over the 105 days we took to enjoy the journey. We managed to visit every destination we had pinpointed to see along the coast of Queensland, with our main aim… Read More SA to Cape York Qld & Return – The Stats

Driving to the tip of Australia – Part 5 (Our journey back from the tip comes to an end)

As we leave Alau Beach and begin the drive back from the tip we notice a whole lot more of lost bits and pieces that have fallen off peoples cars, caravans or campers.  We see more tiedowns, a mop, a tyre, more solar panels and assorted dust covered metal fragments.

Driving to the tip of Australia – Part 4 (Loyalty Beach, Seisia and Alau Beach)

Our next stop was Loyalty Beach, another planned stay to make sure that we were here on a Sunday night, their famous fish and chip night! We can choose to set up wherever we like, so we select another beachfront position with just the white beach, turquoise sea and palm trees in front of us.
