Supporting Australian Music as you Travel

November is Aus Music Month, a time to celebrate and support Australian music and artists. Having live music at venues for everyone to enjoy is something that is a real drawcard when we travel and if we are eating out or going somewhere for a drink, we quite often look to spend our time and money at hotels that have live music. We’ve had some really surprising and enjoyable times going to see unknown musicians or bands in Aussie pubs and they can really add to the enjoyment of a holiday.

More of Adelaide city and The Oils!

Another trip to the city of Adelaide in South Australia, this time to pick up my new camera and to see the best Aussie band ever, Midnight Oil. These guys have been around for more than 40 years and on stage they haven’t lost a thing. Peter Garrett as a front man is the most imposing, dynamic character who at 64 years of age has more energy than I’ve ever had. The entire concert was a buzz from start to finish, every song a highlight.  The oils have always had political messages and I’m with them all the way.
