Winter in the Adelaide Hills

The changing seasons are always very noticeable in the Adelaide Hills. Where I live is only around 40 kilometres from Adelaide but has a very rural feel and lifestyle about it. After the blaze of autumn colour we gradually slip into winter and a grey coat of fog and drizzle descends.

Finding Secret Tunnels

How well do you know your backyard? I had a day of searching for secret tunnels in the Adelaide Hills recently. At least that’s what it felt like to me, although they aren’t that secret really when you find out that the disused train tunnel is one of the top 5 most instagrammed sites in the hills.

Autumn in the Adelaide Hills

If you follow my Instagram account you couldn’t help but see the overload of autumn colour at the moment. It’s hard not to be dazzled by all the fiery shades of the leaves that are adorning so many trees and vines in the region I live in, the Adelaide Hills. There are a number of regions in Australia that are known for their displays of autumn foliage but trust me the Adelaide Hills are right up there with the best.
