Winter On The Road

The Winter edition of On The Road magazine is out now and I’m pleased to say that I have a couple of short articles inside.

In each magazine, there is a section called ‘Curious Australis’ which show snippets of some of the quirkier things, or interesting places to stop and visit as you travel around Australia.

In this winter edition of the magazine two of my articles made it to that section. First is Father Woods Park in the Coonawarra region in the south east of South Australia, and the second is a memorial to author May Gibbs M.B.E.

Father Woods Park is something you could easily blink and miss as you travel along the Riddoch Highway, but it’s worth stopping for a look at these amazing chainsaw sculpted figures.

The memorial to May Gibbs M.B.E. is near Cowell in South Australia and it marks the spot near the original home of this celebrated author, who wrote classic quintessential Australian children’s stories including Snugglepot and Cuddlepie.

Both of these short articles are in the magazine which is a bumper edition, full of great stories inside.

Happy reading

Glenys
