Just a quick appreciation post to thank all of you who have supported my website and Facebook page this year (and some for many years).
My website is a way to share our travels and encourage others to go and visit some of the awesome destinations we have in Australia, and it also acts as a resume and portfolio of stories I’ve had printed or published online. Every visit and click on blogs means the rankings on Google get higher and therefore appear in more searches.
This all helps with my website visibility which in turn, leads to more work and opportunities, so I’m thankful for every website visit, comment and referral.
This year I’ve had stories published in print and online, in the following places:
- On The Road magazine
- Fishing SA magazine
- RV Touring & Accessories Guide 2023
- Australian Silo Art Trail
- Let’s Go Caravan & Camping website…and more
It’s always a thrill to see articles published, my words and photos out there in the wild, and each one fulfilling a lifelong dream I’ve had. It’s never too late to have an ambition. Harry usually appears unwittingly in a lot of the photos for the articles, he doesn’t get much of a choice really!

The Caravan Correspondent website readership has increased every year since I started it in 2015 and it receives many readers daily, finding information and answers to their questions searched on Google. There is also an option to subscribe and receive blog posts about our latest travels, or where my latest articles are featured in print or online, and these blogs are delivered weekly via email. I’m always happy to answer any questions on caravanning in Australia, give touring tips and respond to comments on the website too.
If you’re new to the website or have just happened upon it, there is a search function where you can type in the name of a destination, an event and more and see previous blogs on the subjects.

There is also a category section where you find by using a dropdown box, stories specific to subjects like, 4WD destinations, caravan parks, free camping, touring tips, and more.
I use the Caravan Correspondent handle across social media including on Instagram and Facebook, as well as my Website. I’m also on LinkedIn and a member of TravMedia Australia, an industry organisation for travel writers.
We, (Harry and I) have had another fabulous year of caravan travels, having fun while discovering more of this beautiful country, Australia. As always, we met some terrific people in our travels and shared many a happy hour with old and new friends. Cheers to all of you.

2024 will see us doing more travel throughout South Australia while we plan for another big trip somewhere interstate in 2025, the destination is still in question at the moment.
So thanks everyone for following our travels and my writing journey, and we hope you have a safe and happy Christmas and New Year celebrations. See you on the road in 2024! Oh and keep an eye out for some new and exciting projects I’ll have published next year.
With thanks,
Glenys
