Let’s Go Caravan, Camping & Outdoor Show – Adelaide 2025

The 2025 show is almost over for another year with only one day to go, but here’s a little of what was on display and why these shows are a good idea to visit.

What I love about this display show is that you can see and compare a smorgasbord of caravan, campervans, camper trailers and camping gear all in the one place, spread over pavilions and indoor and outdoor spaces.

There is also 4WD gear, demonstrations and information sessions where you can learn from the experts, or at least other people who have been there, done that.

One whole pavilion was full of tourism outlets where you could talk to owners and operators of various businesses in holiday destinations around the state and the country. Always a very inspiring thing for planning the next adventures.

And so to a few of the things I found interesting at this year’s show. Firstly, did you know that there are over 61,000 registered RV’s hitting the road in South Australia? For travellers 89% of the trips are to regional areas which supports the local economy. Great to hear.

As always there is something for everyone, no matter what stage of caravanning or outdoor lifestyle their into, starting from swags and camper trailers, up to caravans, campervans and motorhomes. These shows are really good at enabling you to narrow down makers, and quality of build and interiors which really stand out for you and fit your purposes.

At the show you can pick up brochures which contain all the information to enable you to plan a trip to the different regions of SA. You can find out where to stay, eat and play and plenty of reasons to visit.

The CMCA also had a stall where you could join the club and pick up some back issue of the magazine. The Wanderer is full of great stories, advice and recipes for lovers of the caravan and motorhome lifestyle.

Station stays in SA are very popular too, where you can caravan and camp on working sheep and cattle stations in the north of the state, Flinders Ranges and outback. You can pick up a map which lists all the stations that have signed up for this and find out what facilities and activities they have before you go.

We highly recommend these holidays as something different from caravan park stays, where you can feel more connected to the Australian environment. If you look closely enough you will even spot us on an advertising board for SA Parks, from one of our holidays spent with friends at Spear Creek Holiday Park, a station stay in the Flinders Ranges.

There are also representatives from the Fisheries Department who are happy to talk all things boating and fishing, including latest changes to rules and regulations and they’re also handing out handy measuring tools for cockles and crabs, so there’s no excuse for keeping anything undersized.

You’ll also find some interstate tourism regions where you can pick up information and brochures to plan adventures further afield.

If you don’t make it to this year’s show, put it in the calendar for next year in February, wear comfortable walking shoes, bring water to sustain you and a big cheque book!

Happy adventuring

Glenys
