Photographer of the Year 2025

In 2025 I once again entered the Photographer of the Year competition which is run by Australian Photography magazine and has a host of industry sponsors and a team of judges adjudicating the entries.

This year I entered two portfolios of photos and I’m thrilled that in this year’s competition I managed to earn a Commendation on one portfolio and a Highly Commended on the other.

I entered a series of photos taken in the Flinders Ranges in the travel section and for that portfolio I was awared a Highly Commended certificate.

These are the photos from this incredible region of South Australia.

The second category I entered was Animal & Nature, and the portfolio of photos entered, were taken at a safari park in Bangalore India, where we visited in November 2024.

Entering the competition is always a great test to see how much I’ve learnt and grown in my photography and there is always the next level of achievent to aspire too.
