We love our coastal holidays as do many Aussies, flocking to the coast whenever the opportunity arises.

From the time our (now adult) kids were quite young we would head off in the camper trailer or caravan for weekends, school holidays and longer breaks, many of which were by a beach somewhere.

Kids, dog, beach, lots of fresh air and activities to tire everybody out made for some of the best memories and life lessons about what’s truly important in life.

That lifestyle I’m really happy to say, has rubbed off with the next generation having the same appreciation for the beauty of our coasts and the road trips to get there. Time like this spent in the great outdoors has led to a business venture called Driftwood Co. for our daughter, with a premium coastal apparel range inspired by Australian beaches, road trips and slow living.

Living and holidaying by the coast and immersing herself in the beach lifestyle, has meant she has developed an appreciation for what that community of like-minded folks want, when it comes to comfort, fit, quality and style of clothing and accessories.

Driftwood Co. also has a zero waste ethos, with products in the range being made to order, meaning less landfill and production waste in getting the clothing to the customer.

We now have quite a few Driftwood Co. t-shirts and other accessories, that we’ve put to the test, trialling for a long time, and we can happily report that they are easy wearing, comfortable and high quality. They have been washed and line dried many times and the shape and quality hasn’t changed a bit. They are true value for money.

One of the designs proving to be extremely popular at the moment is the ‘Coastal Companion’ t-shirts, which were inspired by our beach loving kelpie, Neo. Neo loved the beach, the holidays and being with his humans.

Anyone who loves a beach walk with their best mate, will know that it’s a common sight to see others with their kelpies, border collies and many other breeds, getting in their exercise on the beach or patiently waiting for their family to return from the water, that’s if they’re not in the water enjoying it too.
