Any visit to the Riverland has to include a stop at the region’s only brewery at Wilkadene, 20 kilometres north of Renmark. Their slogan is ‘Brew with a View’ and they don’t disappoint with either.
You may be familiar with the name and the distinctive labels of this maker of gins and whiskies but did you know you can visit the home of this distillery in Renmark South Australia?
It’s high on my list of things to look for when I’m travelling and don’t be fooled into thinking that street art is only in the big cities. I have found plenty of examples in regional towns around Australia and the painted silos are examples of that on a grand scale.
Travelling through the Mallee region of South Australia will lead you to one of the painted grain silos that is part of the Australian Silo Art Trail. This art on a grand scale can be found in the town of Karoonda, a little over 145 kilometres east of Adelaide.
