80 Mile Beach and We Made it to Broome!

Our next stop was about half way between Port Hedland and Broome, a spot we’d heard about called Eighty Mile Beach. It’s just a short 10km detour off the highway, or so we thought.  The road was a bit more corrugated than we expected so slowly we crawled our way in through the red dirt… Read More 80 Mile Beach and We Made it to Broome!

Red Dirt and Red Dog

Next stop Karratha and the Pilbara area of Western Australia.  Temps were heating up again with 37 degrees expected on the day we got to Karratha. Shark Bay Region Finale – As West As It Gets

This was one of the must do things on our list when coming to WA and that was of course to go to THE most westerly point on the mainland, Steep Point. We didn’t know much about it other than where it was before heading over here and then the more we found out about… Read More Shark Bay Region Finale – As West As It Gets

Shark Bay Region Part 2 – Dolphins and New Experiences

After waking up to 80% humidity in Denham with the car and caravan wet and trees dripping, it was time to move on to Monkey Mia. It’s only 26kms from Denham on the other side of the peninsula but still within the Shark Bay Marine Park.  Everyone has probably heard of Monkey Mia as the… Read More Shark Bay Region Part 2 – Dolphins and New Experiences
