The Surreal McLaren Vale

I’ve written a destination piece on the wine growing region of McLaren Vale and surrounds for the November issue of Liquid Life & Leisure magazine online.

This region is an easy day trip from Adelaide but with so much on offer from more than 70 wineries, a craft brewery, fine dining, nearby farmers market, cycle trail and unique, zany architecture, really interesting shopping and artisans’ stores you will want to stay a few days at least to make the most of it.

The McLaren Vale Lakeside Holiday Park is a green oasis to use as a base with a walking / cycle track running behind it and it’s just a short walk into the town. The Willunga farmers market is nearby and is one of the best in South Australia.Visit the website, https://liquidlifeandleisure.com.au/ to view the latest magazine and see why this area should be on your ‘must visit’ list. This region is a favourite of mine to visit fairly regularly and yet every time I’m there I seem to find something new and interesting to experience; in fact a long weekend is in the planning to visit again very soon so I’ll let everyone in on any new discoveries too.

Enjoy
