Images for Sale

Pivot has been the word and action for many businesses during the Covid pandemic, including for freelancers who have had to adapt and look for opportunities outside of their usual fields. The lack of opportunity to travel within Australia, has been challenging but being open to any opportunity to use your skills is key.

I have a number of projects Iโ€™m working on at the moment which will hopefully come to fruition, but itโ€™s always good to challenge yourself and try something new.

I have been thinking for a while about producing prints or merchandise featuring some of my photos, so I am pivoting my skill set, and on top of freelance writing, and copywriting for websites I have set up another side line to sell prints through an online store.

Photos can be bought for personal use, commercial use and for advertising to a global market through Picfair. The link to my page is https://glenysgelzinis.picfair.com where you can see a gallery of photos Iโ€™ve uploaded to this platform.

For a customer to order, the process is to select an image then a product type, for instance a print for your to frame yourself, a canvas print or framed print, then select a size and before going any further you can preview what the finished product will look like. Prints can be shipped around the world and payment can be made by credit or debit card. The print is then shipped directly to anywhere in the world, from Picfair.

It seemed to be an idea worth giving a go and makes more sense than having images sitting on a home computer. You never know, there may just be a home, office, holiday home, magazine or advertiser in need of some quality images of picturesque Australian animals and scenery.

Cheers

Glenys
